Protection of soft targets

Our activities focus on the processing of threat and risk analyzes and design of security measures for soft target operators. We also offer support in the selection of specific technological measures. We have practical experience in the field of culture, education and healthcare.

Soft targets are objects with high concentration of people and low level of security that are highly vulnerable to violent crime, especially acts of terrorism. The term comes from the English Soft Pargets (sometimes also referred to as Crowded Places). Soft targets first appeared in documents of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic in 2012, and since then a number of initiatives have been taken to improve their protection.

In our cooperation with operators of soft targets, it is necessary to implement all measures with regard to the documentation of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, which has been prepared in recent years with regard to increasing the likelihood of terrorist attacks. In practice, our experts proceed with regard to:

  • Methodology – Fundamentals of Soft Target Protection
  • Methodology – Soft target coordination for the post-security incident phase
  • ČSN 73 44 00 – Protecting school facilities as a soft target
  • Strategy of the Czech Republic for the Fight against Terrorism
