Summary: The issue of crowded places and their management (crowd control, crowd management) represents a challenge not only at the national level (including the Czech Republic) but also with regard to the harmonization ambitions of the European Union. The contribution will present key variables (groups of areas and documents related to them) in relation to the agenda of the European Union – with an emphasis on their potential impact on domestic scientific research activities.
