A virtual environment for the presentation of the outputs of mathematical models of the movement of people
The project “Virtual environment for the presentation of outputs of mathematical models of the movement of people” (FW06010581) was supported within the program of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic – Results with the potential for competitiveness – new products, production processes and services (TREND).
The main goal of the project is to remove shortcomings in the field of visualization of the Pathfinder and PyroSim software, to further optimize the presentation process itself, and thus to create a tool that will allow statistical and numerical outputs, including agent trajectories, to be presented in a modern graphic environment, with the aim of achieving a photorealistic graphic level and agent animation , which is exact with regard to the mathematical models performed on the one hand and user-friendly on the other (user-friendly and understandable). The project is therefore primarily focused on the presentation of the results of mathematical models in a virtual reality environment, which will enable, in addition to passive presentation, active use, for example for training security forces or for the implementation of evacuation exercises and experiments with a high level of ecological validity (i.e. situational realism) in buildings, which are still in the design phase.
